Guided sensory experience
Guided Sensory Experience with Kari Boiter
The evening will feature a guided sensory session led by Kari Boiter, Montana's first Certified Ganjier. Through an approachable, educational format, Kari will guide participants through the process of observing and evaluating cannabis using multiple senses. The experience is designed to help attendees slow down, engage more intentionally with the plant, and develop a deeper appreciation for the qualities that distinguish thoughtfully cultivated flower.
Kari is an Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning broadcast journalist, community organizer, policy advisor, and prominent cannabis advocate based in Billings. Her work spans journalism, public policy, civic leadership, strategic communications, and community advocacy. She became Montana's first Certified Ganjier in 2023 and has since used her training to advance cannabis education, professionalism, and informed appreciation throughout the state.
Living Soil Alliance panel
Living Soil Alliance Panel
The evening will also include a panel featuring members of the Montana Living Soil Alliance, a network of Montana cultivators committed to sustainable growing practices, education, ethical business, and collaboration.
Panelists will discuss what living soil cultivation means in practice, how regenerative methods influence plant quality and expression, and why collaboration among independent Montana growers matters for the future of the state's industry.
Following the guided experience and panel, attendees can continue the evening with an industry social featuring opportunities to meet the growers, brands, retailers, educators, and businesses helping shape Montana's cannabis culture. For visitors traveling from across the country, the event offers a chance to experience the people, cultivation practices, and independent spirit that make Montana's industry distinctive. For Montana professionals, it creates space to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, discover new products, and celebrate the community growing around the plant.
Included with conference admission, the evening at The Elm blends sensory education, cultivation, community, and connection into one memorable Montana experience.
